A Glimpse into Big Bend
I’ve explored the Big Bend region for many years. It’s more than a favorite destination, it’s a place that’s shaped how I think about land, time, and the stories buried beneath both.
That perspective started early. As a kid, I traveled across the United States with my father, a geologist and civil engineer, who would read the land to me as we drove, interpreting its layers, faults, and features like chapters in a book. Those moments taught me to see landscapes not just as scenery, but as living records of deep time.
I’ve returned to Big Bend often with friends, family, and sometimes just a camera and a quiet morning. These photos capture more than views, they reflect moments of connection, curiosity, and respect for the land.
This gallery is a small collection of those experiences. Some are scenic, some personal, all part of the journey that led to founding Paleo Resource Partners. The same sense of wonder and curiosity that drives my work in fossil exploration is rooted in places like this, where the land speaks, and we learn to listen.
